Privacy policy
This policy describes what happens to information when you read this ledger. It is short because the site is built so that little happens: there is no account, no form, no comment system and no tracking pixel. What follows is the complete picture rather than a summary of one.
1. What we do not collect
There is no registration, no login and no user profile. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup and no comment facility, so there is no place on this site for you to submit personal information to us. There is no advertising network on this site, and therefore no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking and no data broker relationship.
2. Server logs
This site is served as static files from a content delivery network. Like almost every web host, that provider processes request data such as the requested address, the time of the request, a user agent string and an abbreviated network address, in order to deliver the page and to protect the service against abuse. We do not use that data to build profiles, and we do not combine it with anything else.
3. Third-party resources
Pages on this site load no external fonts, no analytics scripts, no social widgets and no tag managers. The one external resource is the record imagery: image files are requested directly from the destination host when a record page displays its source image set. That request is made by your browser to that host, which means that host sees the request in the ordinary way. We do not proxy those images and we do not attach anything to the request beyond the address of the image itself.
4. Outbound links
Links leaving this site for the destination ledger carry a referral marker so the destination can attribute the visit. Links leaving for a marketplace do not. Once you follow either kind of link you are on another site, and that site's privacy policy applies rather than this one. We cannot see what you do there, and we receive no information about your orders.
5. Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. One feature uses your browser's local storage: the QC checklist keeps your tick marks so the list survives a page reload. That data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us, and disappears if you clear site data or use the reset control on the checklist. Nothing else on this site writes to storage.
6. Children
This site is intended for adults making purchasing decisions. It is not directed at children, it collects no age information, and because it collects no personal information at all there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request the deletion of.
7. Your choices
Because no personal data is collected, there is no profile to access, correct, export or delete. If you write to us by email, we hold your message and address for as long as it takes to answer and to record any correction that results; you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
8. Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles information changes, this page changes with it and the effective date above moves. Because the site has no mailing list, there is no notification channel other than the page itself; the check log records that the page was revised.
