How to read the result
- The conversion block is a standard reference chart. It describes labelling conventions, not any particular shoe.
- The evidence table only contains rows where we hold a measured sample with a stated source type. It is currently empty: no brand has reached a sample we are willing to publish.
- Seller size charts are transcribed as claims, not measurements. When a row does appear, its source type says which of the two it is.
- If you have a tape measure and a pair in hand, your own insole measurement beats every table on the internet.
Using it
- Open the instrument above. It calculates with the defaults immediately, so there is nothing to set up before you see a result.
- Replace the defaults with your own figures. Each field names what it expects and which week its default was checked.
- Read the result panel. If a field falls outside its expected range, the page says so and pauses the calculation rather than returning a figure built on bad input.
- Use Reset to return every field to its default. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored after you leave the page, except the QC checklist, which stays in your browser.
Questions that come up
Why is the evidence table empty?
Because we publish a row only when it has a measured sample and a stated source. Filling it with estimates would make it useless for the one decision it exists to support.
How do I measure an insole?
Pull the insole out, place it against a wall, and measure from the heel edge to the toe tip in centimetres. Compare that number with the listing, not with the size label.
Is a size chart the same as a measurement?
No. A seller chart is a claim about a range. A measurement is one number from one pair. They disagree more often than people expect.
